Maqamigew Anqotumeg, Mi'kmaw for "we take care of land" began business in 2021 under the leadership of Lyle Vicaire, a seasoned Terrestrial Ecologist from Elsipogtog First Nation, lyle had previously worked for various consulting firms starting in 2014 and has extensive experience in biophysical studies, and in 2020, Lyle had also begun research on coastal restoration in Atlantic Canada.

We started out as a mobile welding and fabrication company and now have expanded to our own shop as well as continuing our mobile operation, we employ welder, millwrights, fitters, riggers and labourers and WP Welding has worked on projects with Irving, Sequin Morris, as well as the International Bridge project here in Edmundston, NB, we have and are willing to travel where our services are required as well as offer fabrication services in our Newley opened shop here on our reserve.
