Awasis Boutique is the first Indigenous-inspired baby and kids fashion line in Western Canada, founded by Christine Marie, a proud Indigenous mother of two. Launched online in February 2018, the business also partners with local retailers like Royal University Hospital and Wanuskewin Heritage Park, offering products at wholesale. Items include drool bibs, swaddle blankets, onesies, and tees with Indigenous prints—some featuring custom Cree syllabics. During COVID-19, Christine led a team of local seamstresses to sew non-medical masks. Loved for its authenticity, Awasis celebrates Indigenous culture through design, offering garments, accessories, and fabrics that proudly reflect Indigenous identity and creativity.
